Tuesday, Nov 17 there will be a school assembly featuring the Washington 7/8 Orchestra, Band and Choir.

also...the same day, Tues., Nov. 17th is the required evening performance for the Washington 6,7 and 8 Bands.  All grades 6, 7 and 8 grade Band musicians are to be in the Band Room at 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday, Nov 17th to tune up for our 6:30 p.m. evening performance.  Donations will be taken at the door for this performance.  Wear your khakis and your black music polo to the performances.

Friday, November 6th from 7-9 p.m. is our first dance of the year! The theme will be Wash out, so wear any Washington clothing or white and blue clothing.

We will have the dance in the North Cafeteria and dodgeball in the South Gym. The deadline to sign up your dodgeball team is Thursday, Novmember 6th at 8:00 a.m. Dodgeball teams can consist of 10 people and you can pick up a form to sign up when you get your ticket.

Tickets for the dance are $5 or 4$ for renaissance members. They will be sold at lunch Monday-Friday next week.

Students are not allowed to have their cell phones out at any

permission from a staff member. If a staff member sees you with your cell phone out, and you did not get prior approval your phone will be turned into the main office.

The parade line is at Jackson Park at 5:30 p.m. a The parade begins at 6:30 p.m. and ends at Washington Park. Do you want to join in on some fun!!!???  It's that time of the year again and we will be making apple pies at Hy-Vee on Locust Street!  Hy-Vee on Locust Street is our business partner and we assist in peeling, assembling, packing, and sampling of apple pies.  Hy-Vee gives the Washington Renaissance Program a portion of sales!  We are looking for students/parents, and staff to assist us on Wed, Oct. 21st - Friday Oct 23rd from 3:30 to 7 (approx. ending time) and from 9 to 4 on Oct. 24th and Oct. 25th.  Sign up in the Activities/Attendance Office if you are interested in helping!  This is a great way to demonstrate COMMUNITY!

TONIGHT, October 20th, the Washington VPA program will host a Panera Fundraising Night to raise money to support this year's production of "The Music Man"!  If you stop into Panera anytime between the hours of 4 and 8pm and show them the flyer that you will receive during home base on the 19th or an electronic version of it located on the Washington website, then Panera will donate a portion of the proceeds from your purchase to our show!  It’s a handcrafted, delicious meal, all for a great cause!  Questions?  See Mrs. Bookless or Mrs. Schumacher!
