Do you want to join in on some fun!!!???  It's that time of the year again and we will be making apple pies at Hy-Vee on Locust Street!  Hy-Vee on Locust Street is our business partner and we assist in peeling, assembling, packing, and sampling of apple pies.  Hy-Vee gives the Washington Renaissance Program a portion of sales!  We are looking for students/parents, and staff to assist us on Wed, Oct. 21st - Friday Oct 23rd from 3:30 to 7 (approx. ending time) and from 9 to 4 on Oct. 24th and Oct. 25th.  Sign up in the Activities/Attendance Office if you are interested in helping!  This is a great way to demonstrate COMMUNITY!

Sign up in attendance/activities office for 7 and 8 grade girls basketball and  7th and 8th
grade wrestling! PRACTICE STARTS NEXT WEEK!

LEAP activities for the day: Bringing Books to the Big Screen, Animal Allies, #Chatter Challenge, Lego Exploration, Multicultural Sweets, and Homework Help!
Another date has been added for cupcake wars since there was such a huge response.  Oct. 21 is the second date.  The names of the participants will be posted on the LEAP bulletin board soon!  New dates for safe sitter will be Nov. 3, 10, and 17th.  Remember you must attend all three classes.

On Tuesday, October 20th, the Washington VPA program will host a Panera Fundraising Night to raise money to support this year's production of "The Music Man"!  If you stop into Panera anytime between the hours of 4 and 8pm and show them the flyer that you will receive during home base on the 19th or an electronic version of it located on the Washington website, then Panera will donate a portion of the proceeds from your purchase to our show!  It’s a handcrafted, delicious meal, all for a great cause!  Questions?  See Mrs. Bookless or Mrs. Schumacher!

Happy Birthday
