ACTIVE INTRUDER DRILL FOR STAFF, DEC. 22 - YOUR STUDENT WILL NOT BE SUPERVISED BEFORE 8 AM

As we continue our work to provide a safe learning environment for our students, Washington Middle School will conduct an active intruder drill with FOR STAFF ONLY on Friday, December 22.

To allow our staff to focus on this exercise, we are asking that NO STUDENTS ARE DROPPED OFF OR ARRIVE AT SCHOOL PRIOR TO 8 A.M. ON DEC. 22. Thank you for assistance in allowing us to provide this training experience for our staff.

Cold and flu season is upon us and tissue supplies are already getting low. Please consider sending a box or two of tissues with your student to give to their house teachers. Many thanks!

Bring non-perishable food items and personal hygiene items to your homebase.  The homebase that brings in the most items will receive a prize!!

Cold and Flu Season is Here!

Along with the recommendation that all staff and students receive the flu vaccine, the Dubuque Community School District will start the implementation of not returning to school until free from fever (greater than or equal to 101 F), diarrhea or vomiting without the use of medications for 24 hours to help reduce the spread of germs that cause diarrhea, colds and influenza. In addition, we will be reminding staff and students of the importance of good handwashing.

Grade 6-12 Secondary Open Enrollment for 2018-19

Applications will be available beginning January 15, 2018, and are accepted through March 1, 2018, for the initial consideration round. Applications received after March 1st will be held for consideration after registration in August, 2018.
