Remember that the drinking fountains are for filling water bottles only, so make sure you are prepared each day to stay hydrated for a full day of learning!

Sarah Hughes, Beckett Brock, Korbin Valentine, Gavin Gordon, Maryn Hernandez, and Hailey Breitsprecker will all be in their best birthday gear for the celebration of the day they were born…which is this week on Wednesday and Thursday!  Happy birthday Wahawks!

 

 

Monday, January 11 & Tuesday, January 12, 2021

If you are concerned about missing work or you'd like to improve your grades, homework help might be for you!  They meet every day after school!  Remember that staying organized can help you to complete all schoolwork in a timely manner which will probably result in higher grades!  Keep working hard, Wahawks!

Any students interested in working on a VPA crew for this year's one act play should sign-up by January 14th!  That's Thursday of this week!   Due to Covid restrictions, the crew will meet after school on Fridays and will only work on the set building and painting this year.  If that sounds like fun to you, you can find the link to sign up on the Washington website homepage!  Questions?  See Mrs. Schumacher or Ms. Jenn.

 Start the new year reading more with the Carnegie Stout Library Winter Reading Challenge with prize incentives!  Head over to their website to register and it's for adults too so any teachers that want to participate are welcome to sign up too!

Don't forget to sign up for LEAP activities. Events include Teen Baking, Bakeology, Game Night, Homework Help, Polar Bear Running Club and the Gay-Straight Alliance among others.  All the descriptions and the sign-up sheets are located on the bulletin board outside of the principal's office! January's LEAP activities include Bakeology, Game Night, Homework Help, Polar Bear Running Club and the Gay-Straight Alliance among others!  For more information and to sign up, visit the board outside of the principal's office.

Washington Dance Team starts this week as well! You will have an informational meeting in the north cafeteria on Thursday or Friday of this week after school for about fifteen minutes!

 

We should all wish Atticus Gutierrez a huge happy birthday on Thursday of this week because that is the day he was born!

 

 

Monday, January 4 & Tuesday, January 5, 2021

 

If you are signed up for 7^th & 8^th boys’ basketball and have a current physical on file, be sure to join the informational meeting today after school.

 

If you are signed up for 7^th & 8^th grade dance team, be sure to attend the informational meeting in the north cafeteria on Thursday or Friday this week. The meeting it only take 15 minutes.

 

VPA will soon be looking for students who want to help with the set and stage for the one act play. Be sure to pay attention to WTV and these announcements for upcoming info.

 

Remember, all Hybrid students are required to wear their ID each day they are in the building. If you need to purchase a replacement ID or lanyard, stop in the main office. $3 for a photo ID and $2 for a lanyard.
